Zambia inflation picks up to 6.2 pct in January -official data

LUSAKA (Reuters) – Zambia’s annual inflation rate rose to 6.2 percent in January from 6.1 percent a month earlier, official data showed on Thursday.

On a month-on-month basis, the rate inched up to 1 percent in January compared with 0.7 percent in December, data from the Central Statistical Office showed.
