Bafana Bafana stun Burkina Faso 3-1

Bafana Bafana stunned Burkina Faso 3-1 in the 2018 Fifa World Cup Qualification match. The result comes as the South African Men’s Senior National side face a possibility of yet another failure to qualify. The South Africans last appeared in the Fifa World cup when the hosted it back in the year 2010.

Under the mentorship of former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter, Bafana Bafana lost on two consecutive occasions in the 2018 Fifa World Cup Qualifiers. They went down 2-1 away to Cape Verde before going down to 1-2 to the same side just days later in the return leg.

On Saturday of 07 October 2017 it was goals from Percy Tau in the first minute, Themba Zwane in the 34th minute and Sibusiso Vilakazi in the referee’s added time of the first half that ensured that Stuart Baxter’s side remains hopeful to book that ticket to Russia in 2018.
