The SA Football Association(SAFA) President accused of using match fixing scandal

The SAFA President Danny Jordaan allegedly manipulated the match fixing scandal to advance his Presidential ambitions and discedit then SAFA President.

Danny-JordaanThis,is according by a disgruntled former SAFA head of referees Adeel Carelse,Carelse was one of four SAFA officials who were suspended by SAFA emergency committee.

They were suspended in  December 2012 after they were fingered Fifa in the match fixixing scandal in the investigation report.

But their suspensions were lifted a month later by SAFA National Executive Committee, and by that time it was too late for Kirsten Nematandani to garner enough nominations from SAFA regions.

That resulted Jordaan beating Mandla”Shoes”Mazibuko in the presidency elections in last year elections.

SAFA yesterday said”rejects with contempt these wild, speculative and completely unsubstantiated and libellous allegations made by a disgruntled former employee who was dismissed in 2013”

In a report submitted to the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) last month, Carelse called for Jordaan’s suspension and wanted an inquiry into the claims.

He also fingered erstwhile Safa vice-president Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana, former chief executive Robin Petersen and Fifa investigator Chris Eaton – who compiled the match-fixing report – for alleged collusion and bringing the football body into disrepute
