Simba Mhere Dies aged 26

Simba Mhere dies aged 26 years old in a car crash on his way to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg in the Gauteng of South Africa. It has been reported that he was to board a plane to Cape Town to attend the J&B Met. Google+

Simba MhereThe accident that claimed his life took place at 5AM on January 31, 2015 on William Nicol Drive in Johannesburg after another vehicle went over the island and collided with his car.

“A VW Polo that had got off the N1 in Fourways, crossed over the middle island and crashed into Simba’s side.

Simba was driving and the strong impact killed Simba and a passenger sitting upfront,” Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Superintendent Edna Mamonyane was quoted.

He died on scene, and was traveling with a friend who also died on the scene and his father who survived the accident was taken to hospital.

“The Polo driver will be charged with culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving. Metro police officers said they could not see any visible injuries or bleeding on the Polo driver at the hospital,” Superintendent Edna Mamonyane was quoted.

Simba Mhere joined the SABC 3 lifestyle show Top Billing in 201o after winning that show’s presenter search.

He remained with that show until his death on January 31, 2015 in Johannesburg.

Simba Mhere was born in Zimbabwe and moved to South Africa when he was a year old.
