Oupa Manyisa tops the scoring charts while Orlando Pirates languish in the bottom half of the table of two matches. The second round of matches for the 2014/2015 season Absa Premiership were played on Tuesday August 12 and Wednesday August 13, 2014.

Oupa ManyisaSupersport United welcomed Chippa United, who were log-leaders prior to the match, to Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Tuesday August 13, 2014 in Pretoria. Clayton Daniels’ 24th minute goal was enough to see Supersport United earn their first victory of the season while Chippa United earn their first defeat of the season. The other match played on Tuesday was BidVest Wits and Pretoria University at BidVest Stadium and it ended in a 1-1 draw.

On Wednesday, Moroka Swallows continued their good run when the defeated AmaZulu 2-1 at Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium. Ajax Cape Town surprised defending champions, MamelodiĀ  who are yet to register a victory this season by 1-0 at Cape Town Stadium.

Platinum Stars played Free State Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng in the North West. Former Orlando Pirates striker Ndumiso Mabena score twice to secure a 2-1 victory for Platinum Stars.

Bloemfontein Celtic hosted Orlando Pirates at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. Celtic took the lead on two occasions and Oupa Manyisa dragged Orlando Pirates back to the game on both occasions. Joel Mogorosi’s 15th minute goal was cancelled out by that of Manyisa in the 43rd minute. Alfred Ndengane put Celtic back in front again of the 47th minute and Oupa Manyisa hit the net one more time for the Bucs on the 52nd minute. Oupa Manyisa’s two goals in this match as well as one goal from Orlando Pirates season opener puts him on top of the scoring charts with a total of three (3) goals after 2 matches.

Kaizer Chiefs defeated Mpumalanga Black Aces 2-1 at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit while Maritzburg United defeated Polokwane City 2-1 atĀ  Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

After two rounds of play, Moroka Swallows lead the standing with 6 point while Kaizer Chiefs is at number 2 with also 6 point followed by Maritzburg United on number 3 with 4 pints. The defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns sit on number 14 with 1 point, Pretoria University on number 15 with also 1 point and Free State Stars is yet to earn a point at number 16.
