Kaizer Chiefs vs Black Leopards 2015 Nedbank CupAfter dismissing Edu Sports by 4 goals to nil, Kaizer Chiefs were drawn against the 2011 Nedbank Cup losing finalists, Black Leopards, in the last 16.

Down the years Kaizer Chiefs have often succumbed to smaller oppositions in the Nedbank Cup, however, with their 2014/15 season form, it wasn’t farfetched to think that they had an easy task at hand.

Stuart Baxter introduced numerous changes to Kaizer Chiefs‘ starting line-up including starting third choice goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse.

Although Kaizer Chiefs dominated possession in the opening stages of the match, they were unable to turn that possession into a goalscoring opportunity and in the 20th minute it was Zeca Marques’ men who broke the deadlock.

Black Leopards, under the guidance of Zeca Marques, frustrated Kaizer Chiefs who continually struggled to create a clear cut goal scoring opportunity.

With Stuart Baxter sent to the stands by the referee it fell on assistant coach, Doctor Khumalo, to guide Kaizer Chiefs; he introduced George Lebese, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Siphelele Mthembu.

In the 78th minute Siphiwe Tshabalala’s corner was headed in by Willard Katsande to level matters, however, Black Leopards took the lead once again i stoppage time through Roggert Nyundu deflected effort (final score Kaizer Chiefs 1-2 Black Leopards).

In a load shedding delayed Supersport United vs Orlando Pirates match at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane Limpopo; it was Gordon Igesund‘s Supersport United who dictated the terms of the match.

In what appeared to be tactics gone wrong, Eric Tinkler’s men had no answers for advancing Supersport United and the defense of Orlando Pirates was working over-time.

Jeremy Brockie’s 74th minute strike was enough to see Supersport United advance to the quarter-finals of the 2015 Nedbank Cup.
