Bafana Bafana continues to do well under Shakes Mashaba

Bafana Bafana continues to do well under Shakes Mashaba, this is after they traveled to Pointe-Noire in the Congo to play the senior men’s national team of that country on Saturday October 11, 2014 and emerged 2-0 victorious.

Since the beginning of Shakes Mashaba fourth spell Bafana Bafana have played three matches, scored 5 goals, conceded zero, recorded two victories, one draw and no defeats.

Since the qualifying campaign began, Bafana Bafana have not been defeated and they sit on top of the standings in their group with 7 points – a point ahead of Congo.

The match took place at Stade Municipal de Pointe-Noire in Pointe-Noire in the Congo.

Bafana Bafana defeated Congo 2-0 thanks to goals from Bongani Ndulula of the struggling Durban outfit, AmaZulu and Tokelo Rantie of Bournemouth.

Also; Rivaldo Coetzee, who replaced the injured Anele Ngcongca, became the youngest ever Bafana Bafana international aged just 17 breaking Aaron Mokoena’s longstanding record.

Bafana Bafana will face Congo in the second leg of the 2015 Afcon Qualifiers on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 20:00 (South African time) at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane in the Limpopo province of South Africa.
